Where an organisation no longer wishes to pursue a customer in relation to outstanding arrears, the rights to collect the debt can be sold on to a third party. Wescot may purchase this debt and we will then make all efforts to contact the customer for payment of outstanding arrears. This in no way affects the customerís statutory rights as outlined in their original agreement, and Wescot will always abide by an ethical collection policy, governed by industry regulators.
